Show the driver your hotel's complete Chinese name and address, including the correct branch. Add the entrance and hotel telephone number when available. Prepare the card before you leave a reliable connection, then save a copy you can open offline.

If your booking is only in English
Use the hotel's contact option in your booking to ask for the exact details. You can copy this message:
Hello, I have a reservation at your hotel. Could you send me the hotel's full Chinese name, complete Chinese address, the correct guest entrance and a telephone number a taxi driver can call? Please confirm the branch shown in my booking. Thank you.
Do not guess a Chinese name by translating the hotel brand alone. A chain may have several properties in one city. If the hotel sends a map pin, ask for the written address as well so you have something readable without opening that app.

Keep the card free of passport details, payment information and booking confirmation codes. A room number is not needed to reach the hotel entrance.
Make and save your card
Open the Chinese address card tool, paste the hotel details and check the preview. Use Show to driver for a large view or Copy address card to put the text in your own notes.

Download offline text requests a text file. Print / save PDF opens your browser's print options; PDF availability depends on your device. In either case, find and open the saved file before going offline. A browser download request alone does not prove the file was saved where you expect.
Keep passport details, payment information and booking codes out of the card. Save your own offline copy and check it before travelling.
Before the journey starts
Show the address before setting off and confirm the destination. If you use a booked ride, check the vehicle and number plate against the active order. Shanghai's official DiDi guide illustrates checking the car and using the booking details. Official DiDi guide.
At an airport or station, follow signs and staff instructions for your chosen transport. A taxi queue and an app-booked pickup area may be different places. Check the payment method before a street-taxi journey; for an app booking, follow the payment flow shown in that order.
