The rail system includes elevated and underground lines. Check the exit and level of your destination, not just its straight-line distance.

Choose the right train station

Use the full name on your ticket. East, West, North and South are different stations.

Shapingba 沙坪坝
The endpoint used in our reviewed Chengdu–Chongqing corridor. It is in Chongqing.
Chongqing North 重庆北
An alternative terminal. Check the full station name and entrance instructions.
Chongqing West 重庆西
A separate terminal; not a stop after Shapingba on every train.
Chongqing East 重庆东
A newer terminal. Check your ticket; it is not interchangeable with North or West.

Choose different rail stations

Taking a taxi

Use a pickup point on the correct road level. If the driver cannot reach your pin, compare a nearby named entrance and show its Chinese address.

Getting to your hotel

Ask whether the approach has stairs and whether a taxi can reach the entrance, especially if you have large luggage.
